Company description

Coach Tom started this company based on his elite level of experience with Rugby and Skiing. Tom wants to give schools and children other options of sports by coaching/educating his team to provide essential professional coaching in Sussex area. Delivering sport and physical activities both in school curriculum time following the PE National Curriculum and in extracurricular activities before school, at lunch times, after school, with opportunities to deliver evenings and in school holiday periods seven days a week including evenings, weekends and working 1:1.

Staff wellbeing and training sessions are held on a regular basis to promote and encourage a positive workforce.

Job Description

Delivering chosen sport and physical activities to children, young people and also adults working in the school curriculum time following the PE National Curriculum and extracurricular activities before school, at lunch times, after school, with opportunities to deliver evenings and in school holiday periods seven days a week including evenings, weekends and 1:1

‪Ensuring to be competent and perform high standards of professionalism in a number of environments and situations

  • ‪Producing fantastic fun sports sessions to children/adults and focusing on development through chosen sport

  • Able to communicate effectively and professionally to management and customers on a daily basis

  • Planning and delivering a number of high quality sports and physical activities to children following set program guidelines and relevant templates

  • Able to manage workload and also be responsible for the management of the customers of which they are assigned.

  • ‪Accurately report on the monitoring and self-evaluation of personal performance.

  • Making sure following Health & Safety procedures are adhered to at all times following company policy and child protection guidelines

  • ‪Taking pride in developing and inspiring people to live and lead healthy active lifestyles

  • ‪Being accurate with participant judgment’s, feedback, registers and reports on individual achievements, development, progress such as child assessment and progress data

‪Knowledge & Literacy & Numeracy Skills: 

Delegates must hold relevant certification and be able to understand:

  • ‪The National Curriculum and education landscape

  • ‪Ofsted and the characteristics of who and what they represent

  • ‪A range of physical activity session/lesson ideas and inclusion/teaching strategies

  • ‪Must have GCSE A-C in both Literacy and Numeracy or equivalent

  • ‪‪Must be literate and be able to communicate both orally and manually using appropriate and correct grammar and language

  • ‪How to communicate with different audiences using excellent face-to-face and telephone communications skills

  • ‪‪How they can use listening and questioning skills to challenge and gain information

  • ‪Be creative and possess the ability to maximise opportunities presented when dealing with customers.


The essential qualifications or equivalent below are relevant for this work, if applicants could hold or be working towards the desirable qualifications will be taken into consideration. Training and additional qualifications will be offered dependent on experience and ability to meet the required competencies, dedication and skills required for the job.

‪Essential Qualifications

  • 1+ years playing/working within Rugby, Football, Hockey, Cricket, Trampolining, Athletics and other sports

  • Hold a minimum NGB Level 2 coaching certificate (or working towards)

  • ‪First Aid Cert

  • ‪Child Protection certificate

  • ‪DBS or CRB certificate

  • ‪Clean UK driving licence (working areas will include Eastbourne, Lewes, Hastings, Brighton).‪


  • ‪Hold a Coaching or Sports Degree

  • Hold the Level 2 Supporting Learning in Physical Education and School Sport certificate

  • ‪Multi Skills Development in Sport Level 2 award

‪Computer skills: 

  • ‪Access internet and email.

  • Have access to PC or tablet and android handset

  • ‪Use of MS Office 2000 or later, particularly Excel and Word

  • ‪Understand basic databases using programmes such as Excel

‪Management Ability:

Job Type: Part-Time, Contractor, Full-time, Temporary 

Salary: Minimum Wage - £12ph

Hours: 20hrs a week
